AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE

A SHORT INQUIRY INTO THE HISTORY OF AGRICULTURE: by Chandos Wren Hoskyns
This adventurous narrative history of the history of agriculture presents the story in a way that shows the necessity for scientific agriculture in the service of the ecology.  The origin of civilization and our very humanity itself lies in the process and progress of agriculture.  This book is entertaining in of itself, but is a more-than adequate introduction to the greatest scientific work of all, Jethro Tull's Horse Hoeing Husbandry (also from the CF Press).
>> Available in Print: Coil Bound, $34.00 (see below)

THE HORSE HOEING HUSBANDRY, IN SIX VOLUMES
The most fundamental and still the most relevant book on agriculture, humanity's industry, politics, economics, science, and technology has been carefully edited and both preserved for posterity and updated with the most modern scientific understanding.  This was a favorite read of George Washington and other great American thinkers, and its influence on the first modern Democracy is striking.  It is an important work, not only for the increasing of farmers' profit, but for the salvation of a the troubled ecology that threatens civilization today.  The editors have not neglected to include also a new translation of Columella's On Agriculture, the foundation of this great work.

MEDICAL SCIENCE

AUTOINTOXICATION: by Dr. John Kellogg, MD
The founder of modern nutritional science provides essential instruction on why the body produces toxins, how the body naturally eliminates toxins and how a person can both reduce the amount of toxins produced and speed the elimination of the toxins.  This results in greater health, longer life, the cure of most disease and improved mental function.  The editors reccomend as additional reading the Natural Diet of Man (also from the CF Press) and Dr. Hyman's 2008 publication "the Ultramind Solution" which expands upon Kellogg's foundational work by discussing artificial toxins.
>> Available in Print: Coil Bound, $60.25 (see below)

THE NATURAL DIET OF MAN: by Dr. John Kellogg, MD
In this volume, Dr. Kellogg animates the technical lessons presented in Autointoxication with a mind to the person unfamiliar with medical science.  Though Autointoxication is readily accessible to someone with no scientific background, the Natural Diet of Man presents a simpler and more philosophical look at the fundamental necessity for an antitoxic diet.

STORAGE AND BINDING OF BOOKS

May we recommend coil binding your books?  Standard binding practices of glue and (sometimes) sewing or stapling the book is not only more expensive, but does not last as long.  While glue and sewing or stapling is preferred because it is thought to protect the book better, the protection is actually from the covers compressing the pages together and shielding them from environmental trauama and air exposure.  This can be better acheived through coil binding in combination with book covers and proper storage techniques.  Please let us know if you would like information on how to protect your important books and journals better!

If you still desire standard glue and sewing or stapling, please let us know: we are glad to print and bind your book to your desire, and have many special decorative bindings to choose from.

Still insecure about how pretty coil binding is?  We also offer beautiful folios for your coil binding!

UPGRADE TO BETTER PAPER
